Deepest Snowpack in Colorado

A little Spring update for everyone is necessary now that Buffalo Pass has officially topped a Colorado record for snow accumulation, making it truly the deepest snowpack in Colorado. That’s right, the Tower Site, which measures remote snowpack levels for the Natural Resources Conservation Service, recently hit a level never recorded in the history of record keeping here in Colorado.

Last day of our 2010/11 season


Last day of our 2010/11 season

Game over Powderhound. Today was our last trip of the season. It’s bitter sweet for us all here at SPC. With a 144-inch base, it is hard to believe that we are pulling the trigger on possibly the best seasons ever. It was fitting that we recieved 11″ new today. Our crew pulled off the most runs for any cat this season, lapping up 19 runs in the light and cold, face shot type snow.
