New years eve can be quite the night with raging parties, fireworks, live music and staying up past midnight celebrating the New Year. Typically, January 1st can can be a lazy day spent sleeping in and watching football games or just relaxing after the previous nights libations. The picture was a bit different at Steamboat Powdercats today. By 7:30 a.m. we had guests geared up waiting at the front door chomping at the bit to get out and ski powder on the first day of 2016.
Robert from Cat B today said, “I’d rather go to sleep early and go cat skiing on New Years day than be tired and exhausted.” And we agree with you Robert. You might as well get tired and exhausted from rallying in the deep powder on Buff Pass than partying late night and lazying around all day. When we asked our other guests what inspired them to skip the partying and wake up early on New Years day, there was a near unanimous response of starting the year doing something impactful and amazing.
Cheers to that and thanks for celebrating the first day of 2016 with us folks. This is going to be a great year.
