Andrew Radzavich- Backcountry Ski Guide
Andy grew up fishing, biking, and skiing the Alleghany plateau of northwestern Pennsylvania and western New York. Andy caught ski fever in third grade, while skiing with friends and family at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, NY, where he returned to work as a ski instructor for three seasons during college. In 2007, Andy graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a MBA in Marketing and Management, however, nothing seemed more fulfilling than to drop everything and head to the Colorado Rocky Mountains. In December 2007, he arrived in Steamboat Springs just in time to experience the record powder winter. He spent the following summer in Steamboat and learned that the Yampa Valley offers epic outdoor-life all year, and soon fell victim to the Yampa Valley Curse.
During his time in Steamboat, Andy has worked as a Certified Ski Instructor at Steamboat Ski Resort for six seasons, a Junior Freestyle and Big Mountain coach for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club for three seasons, and a server at 8th Street Steakhouse.
During the summers he works as a whitewater raft guide and a fly-fishing guide for Bucking Rainbow Outfitters. In his free time, Andy likes to ski, fish, bike, and spend time with his hottie wife, his dogs, and his friends. “I have a great passion for the outdoors and even greater passion for sharing these epic adventures with everyone enjoys them.”
In the fall of 2013, Andy married his mountain sweetheart, Abbie Lane, and was hired into the Steamboat Powdercats family.
Andy joined the SPC guide team during the winter of 2013/14 and is excited to share the magic and stoke of guiding powder skiing on Buffalo Pass with the SPC guests.
