Snowmageddon!!!

Holy cow. Snowmageddon is here and is in full force. It has snowed and snowed and would you believe it...it's still snowing! During this storm cycle we've received 29'' with 22'' of that being delivered just within the last 24 hours!! Insane amounts.

Chill Pow

Powder days make our world spin round and round.  Without it, out lives would be hard packed, bumped out and much less glorious.  After yesterday and todays storm, the powders were fresh and deep and all up in our way.  A 10" layer of snow laid wait for us and our people were once again blown away by the powder party we get to have.

COWABUNGA!

With MLK Day being the most popular day of the year to ski and to avoid having any FOMO (fear of missing out), we did the same! Sunny skies, warm temps made for some mid-winter spring skiing. Feels pretty good to drop a couple layers, open up some vents, and feel the sun your face every once in a while but I'm sure ready to get back to business tomorrow when the flakes hopefully start flying again.

Federal Holiday you say? Let’s go skiing!

5-feet in the past week!

When life is good, it is real good.  When things are turned on they are ON! The snow gods have certainly been good to us this past week with 5-feet of snow dumping in and around Buffalo Pass.  Plus, since December 24th we have only seen the sun on 6 days.  Say what?   Now, with this said, we did get some wind yesterday which beat down some of our aspects, but rest assured life and powder skiing goes on as we have plenty of terrain to search it out and find the goods.

Face Shot Friday!

Face Shot Friday? Yes sir. We had the pleasure of playing in 17'' of fresh, Steamboat Springs trademarked Champagne Powder, which accumulated over the last two days. Considering our terrain, 17'' is pretty much the perfect amount that allows for speed, weightlessness,  giggles, and of course, ample face shots.

A Toast To Our New Year

Happy New Years powder people! It is the end of an era, 2019 is over and the teen's are leaving us behind as we blast into the Deep Twenty's. We celebrated today as we do, lapping up the powder with laughter and good times with a posse full of wonderful people and big smiles all on our faces.  This past year was one of our best here at Steamboat Powdercats.  Beyond our guests being the best ever, and our guide team rocking it, we enjoyed one of the deepest snow seasons of the decade.  After 2011's epicness, 2019 was as good as it could be with Mother Nature dialing us in with storm after storm.  If we could replicate the freshness of 2019 year after year we would do so.
