Peter Beuth – Powdercats Photographer

Peter Beuth, “Beuford” as he is known to Powdercats Nation, joined our team in January 2010.  Fresh out of college, Beuford quickly became enamored with the town of Steamboat and the magic of Buffalo Pass, the Steamboat Powdercats playground.  Having engaged semi-professionally in photography and journalism endeavors in recent years, Beuford takes his talents and applies them to all things outdoors from sea level in Rhode Island (May-November) to 10,500 feet at Buffalo Pass (Dec-April).

Before joining Steamboat Powdercats, Beuford worked as the “Sea Term Blog Correspondent” for the Massachusetts Maritime Academy while on their annual 8 week semester-at-sea.  This 8 week assignment eventually served as the springboard and catalyst that landed him in his current position as Steamboat Powdercats photographer.  Currently in the midst of his 4th season with Steamboat Powdercats, and having worked for C Devil II Sportfishing for the last 10 years, it is evident that the outdoor adventure lifestyle is going to be a permanent fixture in Beuford’s life.

An avid surfer, skier, fisherman, and runner, and photographer, Beuford revels in the natural beauty provided to him on any given day on Buffalo Pass.  As Beuford so eloquently states, “healthy and happy is the most important thing in life, and I enjoy sharing my stoke with everyone on a daily basis as I capture their moments of glory, sure to fuel their stoke for years to come.”

You can check out Beuford’s photography handiwork on a daily basis by visiting our archive of daily blog postings in which we display many images from each day’s trips.
