Private Snowcat

Here is the ultimate in backcountry luxury for your Steamboat ski vacation. Own the cat for the day and own your adventure. Reserving a private cat is an ideal option for ski vacation groups, families, corporate incentive trips or having the pure luxury of skiing with your best friends. We will customize your ski vacation with this private cat trip in any way, such as a late arrival time, a custom lunch, a private video or detailed powder skiing lesson. Please let us know in advance of any custom requirements so that we can make all arrangements.

The pace of the day is entirely up to you and we will base the ability level of the cat on the lowest ability level within your group. Our cats hold up to 12 guests and your guides will help you accomplish your goals for your day as you wish.

There is a private cat discount.

Check out our rates page here. Basically you pay for 10 people but we provide you with the entire 12 seats in the cat for your group only. The hitch is that we will only use 1 credit card for all of the private cat payment. So, if you are organizing a group, you will have to collect the money from your group instead of having us collect for you.

Many of our private cats are booked with less than the 12 guest maximum.  Imagine your own group of 4-8 friends ripping with no one else on the cat and plenty of room to stretch out in the cat.  It’s not a bad idea if you budget allows for this option. Check out our calendar for “open cats” here.

Check out this video we produced from a Jan 27, 2011 private cat with only 2 guests in it.  This was the ultimate.  They skied 21 runs by the end of the day.  Ask us about video production for your private cat the next time we book your trip.  Of course we provide you the still images of you on your day but we now provide full video services for private cats.
