Driving up the pass this morning, there was not a cloud in the sky. At Dry Lake the forest was quiet, the air was calm and it was cold as cold can be. There was a uplifting energy all around us and we were eager to get up into the Medicine Bow/Routt National Forest and do what we do best. As we crested the top of one of our morning hill climb, we were greeted by the most magnificent view. There it was… the sultan of snow, the king of kindness, the prince of powder, the greatest view of our terrain…Soda Mountain, glowing in all its glory. From that point on, we knew that today was going to be a day to remember.
