The daily powder party for us up here at Steamboat Powdercats is almost over for the season. With only 2 more days left in our “official” season, it is looking more and more like today may have been the end of it all. And what a way to close it out.
After 27″ of snow the past two days, we took only one cat out, our Level III trip, up to pillage Soda Mountain like never before. Today was another “best ever” and a spectacular way to end this greatest season ever.
It’s been a wild ride this year with 3 of the 4 operating months (Dec, Jan and March) seeing 100″+ of new snow during each month. February we only saw 37″ total for the month which was something we wish to never see again and won’t discuss much, but the other months were as good as we could have ever asked for. Best El Nino season ever for us!
As always, thanks for playing and enjoying the amazing National Forest lands on Buffalo Pass with us. We are so lucky to do what we do and to have this opportunity to take you all out on these lands in our snowcats and search out the freshies. We pinch ourselves regularly thinking about how fantastic this opportunity is. Living the dream folks, absolutely living the dream.
