| Kyra Alexander A Colorado native, Kyra grew up biking and snowboarding in the mountains around Grand Lake, Colorado, near Rocky Mountain National Park.
Kyra spent 2 seasons snowboarding in Jackson Hole where she ski bummed and mastered her backcountry skills. Since she became a guide with Steamboat Powdercats, Kyra has picked up skiing and is now officially a recovering snowboarder. In the off season, Kyra splits her time between mountain biking and running her own fire mitigation business.

Before joining the Steamboat Powdercats staff in 2006, Kyra went to school for environmental studies and outdoor education at Prescott College.
Steamboat Powdercats operates under special use permits from the Routt - Medicine Bow National Forest and is an equal opportunity service provider.
