Rob Meeker
Backcountry ski guide

Meeker grew up on the Front Range and attended Fort Lewis College in Durango where he completed his BS in Geology. In Durango, Rob fell in love with rivers and various other outdoor activities.

After college, Rob was hired on with Ice Pirates snowmobile tours and with El Diablo Alpine Guides, another snowcat operation in the Southern Colorado, San Juan Mountains.

In the fall of 2005, Rob and his wife Jules moved to Oak Creek Colorado and chose Buffalo Pass and Steamboat Powdercats as their new favorite place to share back country ski adventures with friends and guests.

Rob is usually SPC's most dapper guide, but on really lucky days you'll also see him toothless and decked out in his fat man suit working in the guts of the cats, saving your chariot for the next day when you are out powdercat skiing - a.k.a. Rob is one of our most trusted mechanics.
