Kate started guiding for Steamboat Powdercats in 2000. Originally from a small fishing village in Northern Maine, she moved to Steamboat in 1996 to attend Colorado Mountain College, a.k.a. C.M.C., or See Me Ski.
During the summers Kate has been a river guide in Maine, Colorado and Idaho.
In addition to Kate's guiding career, she now instructs river and canyon orientation courses at CMC.
When Kate's guiding career started, she was a 21 year old snowboarding vegetarian. Today, and many years later, Kate has been reprogrammed into a meat eating skier, go figure.
