We kicked off our 37th season today. It's been way too long since we last got to play on the pass. We had our new cat "Nala" out today with a ripping crew of repeat guests and loads of guides. After a 10-day training of our 6 new guides and an outstanding mechanic, we are very stoked to get this season rolling.

The month of March has developed just as they said it would! We started off with back-to-back snow storms and cold temps and are just starting to mellow out with sunny skies and some warmer temps.
Although we love snowy stormy weather, we are thrilled for the warm spring conditions and we're still finding the soft dry powder out there!
Snowmageddon 2018/2019 continued to share the love of shralping powder with everyone here in the great town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. With our longest snow drought being just over a week, we've got a lot to be grateful for.
We hope we never wake up from this snowy dreamlike state we are in. 6" on the stake when we arrived at 9:00 am to the cabin this morning and another 3" fell during the day. Say what? It's as if our own fairy snow mother has waved her wand over Northwestern Colorado and her crystalized magic is falling from the heavens.
Well, folks, spring is here but winter is still putting up a hell of a fight and I think you know what team we're rooting for...Winter, DUH!
Tired of sitting at home reading these "every day is epic" blogs? Tired of your routine? Need a vacation? Maybe some cold light powder in your face? Well, what's stopping you?
After a little tease yesterday afternoon, when the clouds parted and revealed the sun
After 10 years of guiding with our Powdercats family, Matt Weingartner, the handsome stud of a man and mentor for many of us is parting ways. Today was his last day guiding with us as tomorrow he hits the road heading back to the Ipswitch where his wife and baby-to-be are waiting.
